Copyright Policy

Users are encouraged to make proper use of the scientific information available on the CBOL platform. The service is provided in compliance with copyright law. Consultation of CBOL documents is carried out for the purposes of teaching, learning and scientific research, in accordance with good practices, without prejudice to the author or copyright holders.

In this regard, the CBOL platform user:

• agrees not to reproduce CBOL documents except for information and research purposes;
• agrees not to distribute them;
• agrees not to import them for the purpose of commercialization on the domestic market;
• agrees not to communicate them publicly by any means, including by making them freely available on the internet;
• agrees to use institutional credentials to access CBOL documents for personal use, study and research;
• agrees to cite the CBOL document if information from it is used in a personal research project.

Violation of this policy results in the suspension of access to the CBOL platform and the obligation of responsible persons to fully cover damages under the conditions provided by law.

Personal Data Protection Policy

The CBOL platform manages personal data: first name, last name, institutional credentials (username and password). The categories of users concerned are: students at all levels of education (bachelor's, master's, doctoral), teaching staff and auxiliary teaching and non-teaching staff from CBOL partner institutions, "Dunărea de Jos" University in Galați and "Ion Creangă" State Pedagogical University in Chișinău. The collection of personal data is strictly limited to what is necessary for the provision of services within the CBOL platform.

The purpose for which user consent is used covers the following situations: reading the full texts of digitized library documents, downloading, printing and saving to a computer the files associated with digitized documents. Consent is valid for the period during which the user is affiliated with one of the two partner universities or until its withdrawal.

The user is protected by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, may intervene at any time and may request the following:

• information about and consultation of the data concerned;
• updating of the data concerned;
• deletion of the data concerned;
• restriction of and objection to the processing of the data concerned.
